I know that, in theory, something like 7% of all net users still use IE6 -- and it's dropping.

In practice, I checked my website's usage statistics, and see less than 1% are IE6 and below.

I ask because I recently updated the site, and according to browser simulations, it appears the navigation tabs at the top don't show up on IE6.

I can't figure out why. And if I make it so it works on IE6, something else breaks. (And I should probably be worrying about how it looks on iPhone and friends, shouldn't I?) Not that I've got hordes of people beating down the doors to visit the site, but still.

I also browse on my Droid, which uses some variation on Chrome. But Firefox for all my real work browsing.

In a somewhat related issue, I was looking at the script page tonight and had some issues. I use a netbook with a tiny screen, so I couldn't see the entire length of the left hand navigational frame. There didn't seem to be a scroll bar either. I'm not complaining, as it's an awesome resource. But I thought I'd let you know in case it was just a Chrome issue.

I had to make a similar decision to ignore IE6 functionality.

Firefox on my work Windows computer, Camino (a Mac-native Mozilla-based browser that's much faster) on my home MacBook, and the iPhone version of Safari on my phone.

I didn't realize Camino was still faster! I pounced on it when the original beta came out and used it for years before switching to Firefox.

I use Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Safari, and Maxthon.

For actual browsinggg, though, Chrome. The only reason i have so many fuggin browsers is cause I roleplay on facebook and I need separate browsers to do multiple chars. Lol, Imsolame.

Wow.

Ah, advanced technology. Back in 1993, we had MUSHes, and we'd just open a second window and second connection. :P

...tl;dr: ANYTHING but internet explorer hogod.

..though maxthon is like the same as IE i think. I loaded it up to have more chinese language functionality as far as add-ons, so help me keep up with my studies.

After being reminded of Droid and iPhone, I realize I had better go back to SIMPLE.

A tiny bit of javascript, but make danged sure that I don't get too complex. So now it's IE6 compliant (though IE6 is so stupid it can't handle an embedded YouTube vid).
