Current EA marketing ploy for upcoming game, "Dante's Inferno":
"Sin to Win" contest at ComicCon encouraging gamer geeks to "commit acts of lust with a booth babe" -- oh, the subtitle says they just mean take a photograph with booth babe. Riiight. The winner gets "a sinful night with two hot girls".
Previous marketing ploy for same game at E3:
staged a fake fundie Christian protest against their own game.
And this on top of their unprofessional treatment of someone I know. I cannot post details, but it was a stunning example of bureaucratic screw-up that dragged on for months.
